Welcome to the Arts Society West Wales

A very warm welcome to The Arts Society West Wales!

Founded in 2006, The Arts Society West Wales is a successful and vibrant society with over 150 members who share a curiosity for and love of the arts. Academics, curators, cultural historians, and other experts from around the UK travel to the Queens Hall, Narberth to deliver monthly lectures, sharing their passion about a particular branch of the arts – paintings, porcelain, film, etc.

In addition to the lecture series, we organise visits to places of interest around the country. Our very popular Special Interest Days provide opportunities for ‘hands on’ experiences such as painting, crafts, printing and more. Some of our members also contribute to and preserve our artistic heritage through volunteering and grants, so the society is not just a great place to learn, it’s a way of making new and lasting friendships. Coronavirus has meant that, over the last year, we were unable to hold lectures in our usual venue, but our lecturers and members were quick to adapt to the ‘new normal’ and we were still able to deliver a full programme via Zoom. We are delighted to announce that we will be resuming Live Lectures in the Queens Hall from September 2022. Happily, we are now at last returning to meeting in person, and look forward to seeing you in Narberth.

We are part of The Arts Society which has branches worldwide and over 90,000 members and, therefore, benefit from regular newsletters, emails, travel offers and extra free lectures. Membership offers extraordinary value at just £50 per annum.
